“Fire sprinkler mandates are rapidly expanding, and professionals need a fast, easy resource to find information about correctly and cost-effectively installing fire sprinklers in homes,” says Jayson Drake, senior product manager, Plumbing and Fire Safety, at Uponor. “Because Uponor has been installing the multipurpose AquaSAFE™ fire sprinkler system for more than a decade, we are residential fire sprinkler experts and can provide professionals with the training, education and contacts they need.”

Since the mandate is just weeks away for Pennsylvania and California, this online resource is an especially critical tool for professionals in those areas that will be required to install fire sprinklers in all new homes built after Jan. 1, 2011.

“With the new residential fire sprinkler mandate fast approaching, there are thousands of new professionals looking to become educated in this industry,” says Drake. “Each state-specific fire safety page on the site has a tab specifically for installers to direct them on training and technical support for installing multipurpose systems.”

The state-specific pages also have tabs dedicated to builders and code officials who are looking for contact information and support for their local area.

“We want to make sure everyone in the home-building industry is equipped with everything they need to make informed decisions and properly install fire sprinkler systems in new homes,” says Drake. “With this new online resource, they have a one-stop shop for access to all the information they will need.”
