Bill Gray Named President of Uponor North America

Uponor has named Bill Gray president of Uponor North America, effective Feb. 15, 2012. He is also a member of the Uponor Group executive committee. Gray has served as the vice president for UNA Sales since June 2011, where he was responsible for the leadership of all Uponor North American sales efforts in the U.S. and Canada. Previously, he was general manager for Uponor Ltd. in Canada for three years where he oversaw all Canadian operations, including sales, marketing, demand management and technical and customer service.

“After an extensive search internally and externally, we determined Bill’s skill set and experience in sales, marketing and existing relationships with our customers makes him the most qualified candidate,” says Jyri Luomakoski, Uponor president and CEO. “We strongly believe his leadership and knowledge of our systems, products, markets and emerging opportunities will continue to build upon Uponor’s growth and momentum in North America.”

Gray is a seasoned veteran in the HVAC and industrial supply industries with more than 17 years of sales and marketing experience, with bachelor degrees in arts and commerce. He is based in Apple Valley, Minn., Uponor North America’s headquarters. The company is in the process of finding a suitable candidate to fulfill the vice president of Uponor North America Sales position.
